I have just had the mower serviced at cost of £15...

I have just had the mower serviced at cost of £153. I was told it had been damaged by over oiling. HOW DO I KNOW WHEN THE OIL NEEDS TO BE TOPPED UP AND HOW MUCH SHOULD I USE. IN Mountfield Sp470 Mower Self Propelled
