I have a TMO33340A lawn tractor.There is a stud that falls in line with the forward/reverse main drive belt from motor to rear end that is about 3/8" diameter x 1 1/2" with a cotter pin hole near the end and is mounted on a flat bar which is bolted to the frame. Could this be a missing idler pully and if so, why would it be held in place by a cotter or hitch pin?

0 The TMO-33340A mower was made for Wards by MTD and you can download the owners/parts manual if you search on MTD 147-860A which is the same model
