5 depending on whether or not the carburetor is zama or walbro, the websites give the screw settings. one screw is a high speed screw, the other screw is a low speed screw. My 2816 is equipped with the walbro carburetor. Walbro states to turn the screw all the way in til it bottoms out, the back the screws out 1 and 1/4 turn. Start the machine then adjust each screw by ear the rest of the way. low speed adjust at idle thil the engine runs smoothly. High speed run machine at full throttle and adjust til full throttle is smooth and it doesnt miss out.

4 On My machine there are whatI thoutht were the the mixture valves., one red and one white. Before I noticed the fuel line was broken I tried adjusting them. They donot move evn one turn let alone 1 and 1/4. Since I messed with them I need to know the proper position for these items. thanks sam

4 Hi, If I recall correctly the color coded heads that You are referring to are actually tamper proof caps. Kind of in a "pac man" shape. Like the red and blue ones in the photo I have included. My 2816 has regular slotted screws shown in the second photo. If You managed to get those caps to move I would suggest trying to reurn them to the normal position, since they do not turn very far. The carburetor manufacturer installed these caps so the adjustments could not be changed. However, these caps sometimes can be removed. And photo 3 shows the screwss without the caps. The screws have a splined head which require a special tool, photos 4 and 5. I purchased this tool from my local small engine repair shop. The tool was a little under $5. That price im sure will vary from place to place. I have also seen them on ebay. You can then adjust the screws to the settings I explained about in the previous post. But I would find ut who the carburetor manufacturer is then look up the settings on the manufacturers website for the correct settings. Hope this helps.
