Question About McCulloch Chainsaw 842
starts well,but cuts out on full throttle.only sec...

starts well,but cuts out on full throttle.only second use of this chain saw. ran ok first time. when i went to use it on another occasion this problem showed up.

0 after posting the question above, I went and stripped down this chainsaw and found the fuel filter floating around in the fuel area. it had obviously fallen off the fuel line or had not been attached during manufacture.stripping down the carb showed fine dirt and debris.cleaned it out as best I could without damaging the diaphragm and gaskets.on re assembly starts first time and is more inclined to fully rev on encouragement.feel that there may be a slight bit of dirt in one of the carbs fine passageways. hope that with use it may blow its' self free. time will tell!
