I have a McCulloch power mac 310,only starts when ...

I have a McCulloch power mac 310,only starts when I put gas in the carb. and won't stay running.Took carb. apart and cleaned in the parts washer,but still don't get any fuel to the carb.I put a new fuel filter in the tank,blew out the fuel line,and still nothing!!!Any answers????I also can't find a manual online,still looking,can anybody help?
