Question About King Canada Portable Generator kcg-6500ge
fuel shut off valve...

can someone tell me how do I tell if the fuel shut off valve is open or closed? I try to start my generator with the starter and pull cord to no avail. It seems to be starved for fuel. I don't know if the valve is open or closed as it is difficult to see on the handle. Is horizontal open or closed? I have trried it in both positions, no joy.
