The steering gear from the wheel has fallen below the gear connected to the wheels Ie: the two gears came out of alignment so won't turn

0 Which part has fallen? The sector which has the tie rods attached or the rod from the steering wheel? The sector is held in place by a snap ring in the battery area, it may have broken or slipped off. Fixable at home
