JD 125 automatic tractor slipped the pto cable to ...

JD 125 automatic tractor slipped the pto cable to deck-I put cable eye back on post and secured it but now it will onlly start if I manually depress by pass switch. It will only run in forward and will kill if I attempt to use reverse. Is there another sensor that I need to reset?
