I just got one of these...JD Lx255

for John Deere Lawn Mower

and it won't run... I've replaced the spark Plug, the Fuel Filter, the Air Filter and the Battery, I've gotten it to turn over and start up...run for about 5 seconds and then die... I'm going to attempt to clean the carburetor to see if that helps...I guess my next step will be to to replace the fuel pump...but, I'm a novice...and looking for literature to help me out...

    Very old mower and not sure. The mower runs but when the blade is engaged it cuts off in a few minutes. What part do I need? Is there a sensor? HELP!!!

    We are having the same problem was hoping to find the answer. Will write back if we figure it out.. Husband is going to check for a cylinod??
