I have a model Husqvarna 232L trimmer purchased in 1999. The serial number is VHV031UB24EA. There is also a serial number on a small black plate - 8300005. The trimmer was built in 1998. I finally needed a new trimmer head. I purchased the Husqvarna T35 Universal trimmer head (SKU # 537 38 81-01) which indicated it was compatable with the model 232L trimmer. It does not appear to be compatable. The threaded shaft on my model 232L trimmer is about 0.25" diameter (do not know actual diameter), and all of the T35 nut attachments are about 0.35" diameter.
