My LGT2654 when hot does not want to go up a grade. I purchased this from Lowe's as a return and the complaint was the same thing. I can pull back on the pedal and it does not make much difference. The transaxle hydro sound seems loud like the pump pressure is low. Can you check the fluid with out tearing down the case and is there an adjustment for this? I don't think the belt is slipping because pulling back on the pedal tighten ups the belt and it will still not go. When using on a hot day that is when the problem show up. The fan is working fine, the rod in pushed in all the way for free rolling, I have not seen any comments on the web about this being a common problem and especially since the tractor was returned with the same complaint. I used the tractor for one season but I don't know when it was being used if it should pull better and faster. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Nick

5 Same here. Purchased this to be able to pull implements. Transaxle is overrated for the advertised capability. Discovered problem when I bought an aerator attachment after the warranty period. Won't pull the aerator, and it barely makes it up a slight grade when warm now (without any attachments). Sealed transaxle makes this difficult to service. More than likely, it just needs new fluid to get some performance back, but the ports are virtually inaccessible without major disassembly. Class action anybody?

0 I have the same model tractor with almost exactly the same problem. I would love to know how to get this corrected.
