Last year clutch burned out. Bought new clutch and installed. Bought new battery and installed. Tractor starts up fine, drive fine. But when I pull out the PTO to engage the blades, the blades do not engage (the clutch does not spin). Any ideas?????? Everything else on the mower seems fine.

5 I have had this problem and have it again. Yours sounds like a $20 fix with a new PTO switch. They do go bad. I replaced one on a Craftsman tractor and fixed the problem. I now have the problem with a Husqvarna... replaced the PTO switch and it did not fix the problem. I press the break/clutch pedal and it sometimes engages for short runs. I am assuming this is a electric clutch problem. I checked the wiring harness, etc... and everything fine there. Next is the clutch. I would in your case go for the PTO switch. I would send you the one I just bought but its only $20 bucks. Good luck.
