starter removeal...

B&S Mod. 461707 Type 0143F1 Code 00121351 appox. 2001 does the flywheel haft to br removed. What about just replaceinh the pinion grear. How to get it off starter?

0 the flywheel does not have to come off. there are only two bolts holding it on. they use a 13mm wrench. you have to take the top engine cover off and side guards. the back bolt can be a pain to get out. its not hard to change overall. good luck!
