Question About Homelite Trimmer Homelite ST 175g
Slowed,stopped, now won't start....

First would only run at part throttle. Opening throttle would kill the engine. Finally stopped completely. Spark looks weak to me but I am no expert. What is proper air gap for the magneto? Any suggestions for repair would be greatly appreciated.

0 Well, I pretty much rebuilt the engine and it starts and runs fine now. I think the problem was fuel starvation due to an obstruction in the first stage of the carb. I learned a lot by the process. Maybe I can help someone else one day.
