after splitting a log it is slow to come back to start position, what causes that and how to fix??

0 Mine did the same thing, a little WD40 and it is rolling like a champ now. If the Hydraulic Control Lever does not return to its original up position after it is released: 1. Unplug the log splitter. 2. Spray the Lever Nut Bushing (A) with a lubricant intended for use on metal parts. 3. Cycle the Hydraulic Control Lever (B) until it retracts.
