Switch key will not pull out of the mower. Is this a safety issue? Should I continue to use the mower?

5 I had the same problem. Home Depot repair said it was not covered by warranty even though the mower was only a few months into the 2 year warranty. It cost me to have it fixed. The same thing happened again last week. I took the start switch apart, sprayed WD-40 into the switch until it sprang out. Apparently the internal spring gets stuck and needs oil so it will move in and out correctly. This is a manufacturing defect and should be in a recall. Continued on next message

5 Continued from previous message When the switch works correctly it causes a break mechanism to work to shut off the spinning blade. Just unplugging the electric cord allows the blade to continue to spin for about 10 seconds or more. This is dangerous. It is easy to get to the switch. Just unscrew the 5 screws on the back of the switch housing. Spray oil into the switch and keep pulling and pushing the switch until it works free.
