My new XL500 does not seem to respond to the throttle and therefore I think it is permanently on a fast tickover. Moving the throttle lever, once it has started on choke, makes no difference to engine speed, although the cable is moving a lever of some sort on the engine !!! The mower hardly hovers and is totaly useless as it is for mowing the churchyard for which it was bought. Can anyone help with suggestions please?
