I have had the Ryobi verson of the lawn tractor, for about 4 years. The problem just started last week, when I tried to cut the lawn. It will start fine and run as long as you have your foot on the clutch. Release the clutch and the engin will die. I have looked for a switch to replace but can not find one. The clutch pedal moves a lever that goes into the transmisson. Is the bad switch located inside the transmission? If so can I bypass it without taking the transmission apart? That is a big job.
