Question About Dixon Lawn Mower None
Dixon 4423 won't start with key...

My 4423 won't start with the key. I have checked the ignition switch, blade switch, brake switch, seat switch, and starter solenoid. All test okay. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be?...it will start if I "hot wire" it with the key on. (jumper wire from battery directly to starter.)

0 Problem solved! While visiting an old guy who runs a battery/alternator shop and telling him my problem, he replied "Sometimes those switches let enough power through to light the test light, but not enough to "do anything". I went back home and started over...I pulled the "blade switch"...took it apart and flipped the little "rocker contacts" around due to a slight brown spot on one end of one of them. I put it back together, and turned the key....BINGO!!! It starts like a champ again. I love my ZTR!!!
