0 Briggs & Stratton has a website with information on these engines. 10W30 will work fine for most ambient temperatures. One thing is misleading about removing the drain plug for these engines on this leaf vacuum. That is you have to remove the oil filler tube to drain the oil. First start the engine to let the oil come up to operating temperature (let it run about 10 minutes). Then remove two phillips head screws that hold on a light brown plastic cover. Next, remove the three hex head fastners (1/4")that hold the fuel tank to the top of the engine and gently roll the tank backward (toward the push handle) If it doesn't roll backward very easily, loosten the tank retaining bolt at the bottom of the tank (you don't need to remove the fuel line to do this). Then remove the 1/4" bolt holding the oil filler tube and tilt the leaf vacuum on to its left side and drain the oil into a suitable container (I used a small plastic coffee can). Once the oil has drained, reassemble everything and add about 20 ounces of oil (about a pint). Check the dip stick and top it off as required.
