Question About Craftsman Trimmer C944.514560
Spool turns very slowly regardless of motor speed...

Motor runs fine from idle to full speed, but spool turns very slowly and not fast enough to cut grass. Slow spool speed does not vary with motor speed. Model is actually C944.517360

0 I solved my own problem. The clamp that holds the shaft in the collet coming out of the motor loosened off. Once I pushed the clamp up as far as I could towards the motor and tightened it, it worked like a charm. Hope that this helps someone else. Rick
