5 A 2-cycle rototiller takes a 50:1 ratio meaning 50 parts gas to 1 part oil. To make a 50:1 mixture, to one gallon of gas add 2.5 ounces of oil. As a reference, a 40:1 ratio would be made by adding 3 ounces of oil to one gallon of gas. A 16:1 ratio would be made by adding 8 ounces of oil to one gallon of gas.
