My Craftsman lawn mower 917.376470 would run for a...

My Craftsman lawn mower 917.376470 would run for a minute or two and shut off. I removed the bowl beneath the carb, drained the gas, cleaned the bowl, re-installed the bowl, and filled with fresh gas. Runs fine now.
