I own a 19.5 HP, 42" Deck tractor. I just replaced the deck belt and noticed that the tractor has something locking the wheels. I took the rear break off, but the wheels still don't move (in neutral). I have not been able to start the engine so I am not sure if it would move with the engine on. The tractor battery is completely dead. 3 weeks ago, it was working fine. I suspect that maybe because I elevated the rear part of the tractor for a few days while replacing the deck belt, the acid in the battery may have flown to the wrong place. I am not sure what happened. Any help/tip you can provide would be welcome. I plan to buy a new battery and hope that nothing else would be needed and that the break problem would be resolved as well. Thanks Nahano
