I have model 917 286070 and no manual and cannot start the mower. Will not run as well. Help

5 Does the starter spin the engine when you turn the key. If so you may have a bad ignition coil or the carb needs cleaned. If you don't hear any thing when you turn the key except maybe a click. You either got a bad saftey switch of the starter relay is bad.
