Problem:Craftsman 9-inch-3.0hsp Edger/Trimmer, bou...

Problem:Craftsman 9-inch-3.0hsp Edger/Trimmer, bought used/rebuilt.Went to use and it leaks gasoline from underneath carborator. Was told problem is the "needle"? Downloaded Manual & it shows a seal/gasket repair kit,unknown if original owner replaced these?Should I start there?Or somewhere else?
