Question About Craftsman Chipper 247-297854
spring loaded door in feeder chute...

Was given this and someone has taken off the spring loaded door in the chute. Put it back on wrong. Need to see a picture or something on how the springs go on. Been searching forever online. any help appreciated.

0 if it's the main (big, leaf) chute you're talking about - the door - really isn't a door, it's a shield, and the spring holds it OPEN. (Up). The spring is there as the chute can optionally be lowered to ground level and this spring-loaded door covers the gap formed as the chute swings downward
