4 First find the nut and bolt at each end of the sweeper shaft, they are on the inside edge of the side panels, remove bolt left and right side, now remove the top piece of the black plastic mount for the shaft. Now you can pull the whole shaft out of the mounts and remove it from the sweeper. Once out you will need to remove 1 complete brush holder (they slide off the shaft, then replace broken bristles and shift the holder along, then do the next and so on.
