Question About Coleman Portable Generator pm0478022
won't start...

Unit turns over but will not start. There is a small round cylinder that extends from the carbuerator with a red wire, which is not connected to anything, could that be the problem?

0 that is the fuel shutoff when you turn engine off. It should have 12v to it anytime the key is in the start or run position and its purpose it to prevent engine to continue to run during shut off Mine has 12 v when key is in start or run position
