how do you drain the oil on a quantum xe 5 hp motor on a log splitter I have?

5 The oil drain plug should be a small square headed bolt. On my splitter, the drain is actually located right above the mounting plate where the engine bolts down, and is facing the hydraulic piston. It's a pain to get to, and makes a mess. Just look right around the base of the engine, right above where it mounts to the plate, and find the square headed bolt. That's it.
