Need to pull Cover off the crankshaft.The Blade is...

Need to pull Cover off the crankshaft.The Blade is off,there is a mounting plate and pulley.Pully has set screw and is loose the blade mounting plate does not want to come off so that I can get insid the crank case where some gears are torn up. Do I just use a puller to pull the blade mounting plate or is there something else involved.
