Question About Briggs & Stratton Lawn Mower MB (18 HP)
montgomery wards 18hp lawn tractor 2000 series...

Tractor had a wiring melt down. Wire connected to magneto(yellow) which had a fuse (I think inline), was burnt bare. Other yellow wires back to ignition switch also show melted areas. Won't start. Not sure if I have spark. It will turn over slow. I would greatly appreciate help figuring this out????

0 Can't tell if there is anything under the fly wheel, that has to do with ignition? I see no wires coming out from it, so I'm guessing, nothing is under it that has to do with ignition. I still have no spark from plug wires thru spark plugs with them out. Motor was turning pretty fast to produce some spark if it was going to.? This montgomery ward tractor was bought in 1992. The operating manual doesn't show all the electical parts. And where they are located? I'm lost at what to do next!!!!
