5 1. This is a mechanically inclined question, the first thing to check is your air filter and air filter breather hose to ensure neither is stopped up, this will cause a back vacuum that will create your fuel to flood your air filter 2. the carb. Should be located close to your air filter housing, ensure that the vent hoses on the carb. Are not kinked or stopped up 3. THIS IS PROBABLY YOUR PROBLEM! Carb. Cleaning if your carb. Has gummed up (VERY COMMEN ON LAWN MOWERS THESE DAYS RUNNING ETHANOL FUEL!!!!) This will cause flooding of the carb, if vent hose on carb is also stopped up or if gas cannot reach the bowl of the carb then it will back up to air filter especially after excessively turning over the motor. 4. The only other thing that would cause this(I doubt your problem though) is to adjust the valves or have your mechanic to do this As a certified Briggs tech for many years I have seen this problem occur many many times. If you do not understand or need further assistance then please message me. If you are not mechanically inclined, then you can still save money by removing the carb from the motor and carrying it to the mechanic rather than taking the whole machine to him... Good luck
