Trimmer head bolt is stripped. The bolt that holds the trimmer head on to the shaft is stripped. Cannot undo that bolt to take trimmer head off and repair line etc.

0 I ended up buying a universal quick load head from Lowe's for about $20. I took a screwdriver and split the plastic between the holes on the top f the head and then took a pair of diagonal cutters and cut away the head bit by bit. The bolt finally unscrewed once I had cut away about 90% of the head. The bolt screws into a female end to the shaft so you have to get it out to get the heads switched. on those. After spending an hour cutting it apart in little pieces, it took me about 5 minutes to get the new head on.
