How do I remove the spool from the grass hog xp to replace the string

0 Press hard on the side tabs to release the orange cover. Remove the cover and you will see that the spool is help in place by a screw. Remove the screw and pull the spool out, twisting it a little from side to side. I had to pull a bit hard to get mine out the first time, but there is no retaining ring holding it in.
