I loaned my Black & Decker electric lawn mower to a relative for 2 years. The mower was kept in the yard but was covered by a tarp. I have the mower now. When I tried it the mower worked for about 3 minutes and then the shaft froze. The motor was humming. I stopped it immediately. I tried to turn the blade manually and it is very difficult to turn.
