0 My Airens is 4-5 years old. On March, 2008, the gear case let go. I took it to a local repair shop and they replaced the auger gear case. We had no more snow until a week ago and again, the gear case broke down. The aluminum housing actually broke at the input shaft. The shear bolts did not shear.
