4 I found the manuals at the Ariens site. They are as follows: http://apache.ariens.com/manuals/02758600B.pdf OWNERS MANUAL http://apache.ariens.com/manuals/02758600B.pdf PARTS MANUAL http://apache.ariens.com/manuals/09212400.pdf SERVICE MANUAL This tractor is touchy for starting. Floods easily, plug fouls easily. Separate problem into 2 categories - Gas or Electric. Pull sparkplug and turn-over outside engine to see if sparking. If ok, clean and put back in and check gas. (May start right up after this) If electrical beyond this, trace down wires & coil. Be sure battery connections are tight, clean and dry. I left out uncovered during rain and water got into oil, raising oil level/pressure and got into chamber. Had to drain oil, change plug and general clean up. Gas, even good gas can have moisture. check settling bowl. you may need to throw away full tank and start with fresh. Clean airfilter, fuelfilter. On throttle - very sensitive. I finish and shut off at medium speed and leave it there for starting next time. Full + throttle chokes (too much gas) Full - throttle purges flooding. If you smell gas, go to minus throttle until it turns over, then to medium. Very sensitive and you need to catch the right moment. I have run down battery figuring this out. Hope this helps. Paul
