Question About Ariens Lawn Mower 1540
can't back it out of shed!!...

we have a flat tire, and can't figure out how to back it out of the shed to put air in the tire! We inherited the mower, and can't find the manual - PLEASE HELP!

0 There is a small lever under the rear deck that has a "J" styled slot that the lever moves in. Pull the lever toward you and rest it in the short part of the "J". This will release the transmission and you can manually move the tractor. Just release the lever to engage the transmission again.

0 Sorry, I did not realize Ariens came out with a new 1540. I have a 1540H that is 10 years old. My suggestion may not apply, though Ariens usually puts a transmission release on their products.
