belt wont stay on

0 A word of advice. I have learned that these mowers are notorious for throwing their belts. I recently purchased a 1542 and after one use the right Transmission rod cracked in half. Upon further investigation I learned that the left transmission rod was cracked also, just not all the way through. I found this was caused by a previous owner using smaller belts in an attempt to stop the throw. This is not recommended as it does have serious ramifications to the hydrostatic transmissions.
