Protective gloves (not provided) should be
worn during assembly.

already attached)
WARNING: If recei ved assemb le d,
repeat all steps to en sure yoursaw is p roperly
assembled and all fasteners are secure. A l-
ways wear gloves when handling the chain.
The chainis sharp andcan cut you even when
it is not moving!
1. Loosenandremovethebarnuts andthe
clutch cover from the saw.
2. Remove the plastic shipping spacer (if
present).

3. An adjusting pin andscrew is u sed t o ad-
just th e tension of t he chain. I t is very im-
portant when assembling th e bar, that the
pin located on the adjusting screw a ligns
intoahole i nthebar.Turn ingthe screwwill
move the adjustment pinup and down the
screw. Locate this adj ustment before you
begin mounting the bar onto the saw . See
following illustration.
