WARNING: Limit pruning to limbs
shoulder height or below . Do not cut if
branches are higher than your shoulder . Get a

from the warranty , the operator must main-

ly to pr ope rly maintain your unit.

and check guide b ar and chain for wear . A
new spark plug and air filter a ssures pr oper
air-fuel mixture and helps your engine run
better and last longer .
CHECK FOR DAMAGED OR
WORN PARTS
Contact an au thorized service dealer for re-
placement of damaged or worn parts.
NOTE: Itis normalfor asmallamount ofoil
to appear under the saw after engine stops.
Do not confuse this with a leaking oil tank.

CHECK CHAIN SHARPNESS
A sharp chain makes wood chips. A dull
chain makes a sawdust powder and cuts
slowly. Se e C HAI N SH ARPENING.
CHECK GUIDE BAR
Conditions which r equire guide bar mainte-
nance:
S Saw cuts to one s ide or at an angle.
S Saw has to be forced through the cut.
S Inadequate supply of oil to bar/chain.
Check the condition of guide bar each time
chain is sharpened. A worn guide bar will
damage thechain andmake cuttingdifficult.
After each use, ens ure ON/STOP switch is
intheSTOP position, thenclean all sawdust
from the guide bar and sprocket hole.
To maintain guide bar:
S MoveON/STOPswitchtoSTOP.
S Loosen and remove bar nuts and clutch
cover. Remove bar and chain from saw.
