Safety regulations
WARNING: switch off and remove
the plug from the electric socket
before fixing, cleaning or disentan-
gling the lead.
Use a highly insulated extension
lead that complies with the regula-
tions in force.
Make sure, before each start up,
that the extension lead is out of the
cutting area.
Wear close fitting clothes and
protective clothing, outdoor rubber
gloves and rubber footwear are
recommended. Always wear suitable
protection for the eyes, such as pro-
tective goggles.
NEVER bring the hedge trimmer
near to the body or clothes when
you switch it on or when it is working.
Before switching it on, make sure that
nothing comes into contact with the
blades.
To protect your legs, wear long trou-
sers, making sure that you have both
feet placed firmly on the ground and
that you are not unbalanced.
DO NOT leave the appliance unat-
tended when it is connected to the
power supply.
NEVER use electrical appliances
when you are tired or under the
effects of medicine, alcohol or other
drugs.
Always keep the hedge trimmer out
of the reach of children. Anybody pre-
sent while you are working must be
kept at a safe distance.
Always follow local safety rules and
relative regulations.
DO NOT use the hedge trimmer in
potentially explosive environments: it
is a good idea for the operator to
always have with him a suitable first
aid kit.
NEVER use the lead to carry the
appliance or pull on the lead to sepa-
rate the connections. Keep the lead
away from sources of heat, oil and
sharp edges.
Before use always check that both
the electric lead and the extension do
not have faulty insulation due to cuts
and worn places.
Immediately replace a damaged
lead.
Always use your appliance as indi-
cated in this manual. This appliance
is designed to be used in an upright
position and if it is used in any other
way, it may cause an accident.
Those who are not familiar with this
type of appliance or who have not
read this manual must not use your
appliance.
DO NOT use solvents or cleaning
agents to clean your appliance. Use a
blunt scraper to remove dirt.
Always disconnect from the power
supply before cleaning.
We would also recommend that
inexperienced users receive instruc-
tion on the correct safe use of hedge
trimmers before use.
To ensure maximum safety and long
life of the product, only use original
accessories and spare parts.
You will find the name of your nea-
rest Authorised Assistance Centre in
the Service Stations Booklet included
in the packaging. It is advisable to
have your appliance checked and if
necessary repaired by an Authorised
