b. Thereplaceopeningneedstobereducedbyaddingadroppanelacrossthetopunderthelintel.
c. Theairsupplyfromoutdoorsneedstobeincreased.Opentheoutsideairkitifthereplaceissoequipped,
orcrackopenadoororwindow.
d. Ifnecessary,seekexpertadvice.Donotoperatethisappliance.
3. Cleaning
Periodicexaminationandcleaningoftheventingsystemofthesolid-fuelburningreplaceshouldbedonebeforeinitial
useandatleastannuallybyaqualiedagency.
1. Other Fuels
a. Althoughyourgaslogsetisveryrealisticinappearance,itisnotarealwoodburningreandmustnotbe
usedforburninganyfuelotherthannaturalorpropanegas.
b. Toavoidirreparabledamagetotheapplianceand/orpersonalinjury,wood,matches,paper,garbageorany
othermaterialmustnotbeplacedorthrownontopofthelogs.
2. Fireplace Safety
a. Toavoidpersonalinjury,donottouchhotsurfaceswhentheapplianceisoperating.
b. Alwaysensurethatthereplacescreenisclosedwhentheapplianceisoperating.
c. Closesupervisionisnecessarywhentheapplianceisbeingusednearchildren.
