To Change Oil
Drain the engine oil when the engine
is warm. Warm oil drains quickly and
completely.
1. Before tipping engine or
equipment to drain oil, drain fuel
from tank by running engine until
fuel tank is empty.
2. Disconnect spark plug wire and
keep it away from spark plug.
3. With engine OFF but still warm
remove filler cap/dipstick.
4. Place a suitable container next
the engine to catch the used oil.
5. Keeping air cleaner above oil
outlet, drain oil.
NOTE: Please dispose of used motor
oil in a manner that is compatible with
the environment. It is recommended
to take used oil in a sealed container
to your local recycling center or
service station for reclamation. Do not
throw it in the trash or pour it on the
ground or down a drain.
6. With the engine in a level
position, fill to the FULL line on
the dipstick with SAE 10W-30 oil.
Engine oil capacity is 20 oz. (0.6
liter).
NOTE: Other viscosities shown in the
chart in the “To Check Oil” paragraph
may be used.
7. Replace the oil filler cap/dipstick
securely.
