CLEAN/REPLACE SPARK PLUG
A AUTION: Disconnect spark plug wire I
from spark plug and keep wire away from
spark plug.
Change the spark plug every 100 hours of operation or
once each year, whichevercomesfirst. This willhelp
your engine tostart easier and run better. Replace with
championJ-19LM or equivalenttype spark plug. Set the
spark pluggap to 0.030 inch (0.76mm).
SET PLUG GAP AT 0.030 inch
(0.76 mm)
CARBURETOR
If youthink your carburetor needs adjusting, see your
nearest Sears Service dealer. Engine performance may
be affected above 4,000 feet in altitude. To improve
engine performance, see your nearest Sears Service
dealer.
NOZZLE MAINTENANCE
If the nozzle becomes restrictedor cloggedwithforeign
materials,such as dirt, excessive pumppressure may
develop.A partiallycloggednozzle can cause a pulsing
sensationduringuse. Thisgenerally isnot a pumprelat-
ed problem, but rather a cloggedor partiallyrestricted
nozzle.
If the nozzle becomes cloggedor partially restricted,
immediatelyclean the nozzlewith the kit includedwith
yourpressure washer by following these instructions:
Shut off the engine and turn off the water supply.
Separate the wand fromthe gun.
Rotate to stream setting.
Remove nozzle from the end of the wand usingthe
allenwrench includedwiththe kitor a 2mm or 5/64
allenwrench.

Use the wire includedin the kitor a small paper clip
to free the foreign materialscloggingor restrictingthe
nozzle.
Insert wire into nozzle and turn back and forth to
clear obstruction.
Remove additionaldebris by backflushingwater sup-
plythroughwand. Backflush between 30 to 60 sec-
onds. Turn wand tostream spray and move nozzle
from low to high pressure whileflushing.
Reinstall nozzle intowand. DO NOT overtighten.
Reconnectwand extension to spray gun.
Reconnect the water supply,turnON the water, and
startthe engine.
Test the pressurewasher by operatingwith nozzle in
the high and the low pressure positions.
