CHANGING THE DECK BELT
TheV-beltsfoundon yourtractorarespeciallydesignedto engage
anddisengagesafely.A substitute(non-OEM)V-beltcanbedanger-
ous bynotdisengagingcompletely.Fora properworkingmachine,
use factoryapprovedbeltsas listedin the PartsListmanualincluded
withthis product..
All beltsonyourtractoraresubjectto wearandshouldbereplacedif
any signsofweararepresent.Tochangeor replacethedeckbelt on
yourtractor,proceedasfollows:
1. Removethe deckas instructedon page20.
2. Removethe beltcoversfromtheouter spindlesby removingthe
hexwasherscrewsthatfastenthemto the deck.SeeFigure14.
