INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
MOJI LANTERN
Battery Life: Your battery life will vary depending on:
Brand and freshness of batteries
Length of time the lantern has been off
Temperature
Settings used
IMPORTANT: Follow all instructions carefully. Any
modifications of this product will void the warranty.
Misuse of the lantern may cause the user harm.
BATTERIES (Illustrations 1, 2, 3, and 4)
The Moji requires three AAA batteries. Alkaline,
lithium or rechargeable batteries can be used.
Do not mix old and new batteries or different
battery types
Dispose of used batteries properly
Remove batteries during storage and transport
OPERATION
Install batteries as shown (Illustrations 1, 2, 3, and 4)
Power On/Off: Single click (Illustration 5)
Brightness Level Setting: Hold the switch down
while powered. The Moji lantern will begin to dim.
Release the switch when desired level is reached
(Illustrations 6 and 7).
The Moji lantern will remember the selected
brightness level for 12 hours
CONDITIONS OF USE
The Moji is waterproof rated to IPX 4 (this does not
include salt spray or high-alkalinity fluids). See CARE AND
CLEANING for instructions on how to dry your lantern.
Do not expose to temperatures above 60 °C (140 °F)
Battery power and life will be diminished at very
cold temperatures
CARE AND CLEANING
Ensure that your lantern is clean and dry before and
after each use and before storage. DO NOT STORE A
WET LANTERN. Remove the batteries and allow the
housing to air dry thoroughly.
Do not artificially heat your lantern to dry it
If your lantern has been exposed to salt water,
it must be rinsed with fresh water, dried and
re-assembled to prevent corrosion
Use a mild soap and freshwater rinse to clean
Do not clean with a washing machine, dishwasher
or high-pressure hose
Do not scrub with abrasive substances or surfaces
If the battery contacts are corroded, remove the
corrosion by sanding lightly with a fine-grain
emery cloth
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the lantern does not work:
Check that the batteries are oriented correctly and
touching the contacts
Replace the batteries
Check the contacts and connections for corrosion
and clean if necessary
Work the switch several times

A responsible adult must supervise use by children
under the age of 12
Inspect your lantern for proper operation prior to
using and, for critical situations, carry a second
light and sufficient spare batteries
LIMITED WARRANTY
We warrant for one year from purchase date and only
to the original retail buyer (Buyer) that our products
(Products) are free from defects in material and
workmanship. For lanterns our warranty is for three years.
If Buyer discovers a covered defect, Buyer should return
the Product to the place of purchase. In the event that this
is not possible, return the Product to us at the address
provided. The Product will be repaired or replaced at our
discretion. That is the extent of our liability under this
Warranty and, upon expiration of the applicable warranty
period, all such liability shall terminate. We reserve the
right to require proof of purchase for all warranty claims.
Warranty Exclusions:
We do not warranty Products against normal wear and
tear (such as ski edge cuts and abrasions, outsole wear,
etc.), unauthorized modifications or alterations, improper
use, improper maintenance, accident, misuse, negligence,
damage, or if the Product is used for a purpose for which
it was not designed. This Warranty gives you specific
rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from
state to state. Except for expressly stated in this Warranty,
we shall not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or
other types of damages arising out of, or resulting from
the use of Product. This Warranty is in lieu of all other
warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited
to, implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a
particular purpose (some states do not allow the exclusion
or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or
allow limitations on the duration of an implied warranty, so
the above exclusions may not apply to you).
This Black Diamond lantern meets the requirements
of the EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) Directive
2004/108/EC.

LANTERNE MOJI
Durée de vie : La durée de vie de vos piles varie en
fonction des facteurs suivants :
La marque et l’état de fraîcheur des piles
Le “temps de récupération”, c’est-à-dire le temps
durant lequel la lampe est restée éteinte
La température
Les réglages d’intensité utilisés
IMPORTANT : Suivez la notice attentivement et dans
son intégralité. Une quelconque modification du
présent produit entraîne l’annulation de la garantie.
Un usage incorrect de la lampe frontale peut s’avérer
nocif pour l’utilisateur.
PILES (Illustrations 1, 2, 3, et 4)
La lanterne Moji fonctionne avec trois piles AAA.
Vous pouvez utiliser des piles alcalines, au lithium, ou
rechargeables.
Ne pas mélanger piles neuves et piles usagées ou
différents types de piles.
Jeter les piles usagées dans un conteneur approprié.
Ôter les piles pendant les périodes de stockage et
de transport.
FONCTIONNEMENT
Insérer les piles comme indiqué (Illustrations 1,
2, 3, et 4)
Interrupteur Marche/Arrêt : Cliquer une fois
(Illustration 5)
Réglage de l’intensité : Maintenir l’interrupteur
enfoncé lorsque la lanterne est allumée.
L’intensité lumineuse de la lanterne Moji diminue
progressivement. Relâcher l’interrupteur dès le
niveau d’intensité souhaité est atteint (Illustrations
6 et 7).
La lanterne Moji mémorise l’intensité sélectionnée
pendant 12 heures.
CONDITIONS D’UTILISATION
La Moji est conforme à la norme d’étanchéité IPX 4
(ceci exclut les aspersions de sel ou de fluides à forte
alcalinité). Voir ENTRETIEN ET NETTOYAGE pour
savoir comment sécher votre lanterne.
Ne pas exposer à des températures supérieures
à 60°C.
Par températures très basses, la capacité et la durée
de vie des piles diminuent.
ENTRETIEN ET NETTOYAGE
Assurez-vous que votre lanterne est propre et sèche
avant et après chaque utilisation et avant chaque
période de stockage. NE PAS STOCKER UNE
LANTERNE HUMIDE. Ôter les piles et laisser sécher
complètement le boîtier à l’air libre.
Ne pas chauffer votre lanterne par des moyens
artificiels pour la sécher.
Si votre lanterne a été exposée à l’eau de mer, vous
devez la rincer à l’eau claire et la laisser sécher
comme indiqué pour empêcher la corrosion.
Pour nettoyer, utiliser un savon doux puis rincer à
l’eau claire.
Ne pas nettoyer au moyen d’un lave-linge, d’un
lave-vaisselle ou d’un jet haute pression
Ne pas gratter avec des substances ou des surfaces
abrasives.
Si les contacts des piles sont corrodés, ôter les
traces de corrosion en ponçant légèrement avec
une toile émeri à grains fins.
EN CAS DE DYSFONCTIONNEMENT
Si la lanterne ne fonctionne pas :
Vérifier si les piles sont correctement insérées et si
elles touchent les contacts.
Remplacer les piles
Repérer toute trace de corrosion sur les contacts et
les connexions et nettoyer si besoin.
Tester l’interrupteur à plusieurs reprises.

AVERTISSEMENTS
Toute utilisation du présent produit par des
enfants de moins de 12 ans doit s’effectuer sous la
surveillance d’un adulte responsable.
Inspectez votre lanterne avant utilisation pour
vérifier son bon fonctionnement et pensez à
transporter une seconde lampe ainsi qu’un nombre
suffisant de piles de rechange afin de pouvoir faire
face aux situations critiques.
LIMITES DE GARANTIE
Nous garantissons pour une durée de un an à partir
de la date d’achat et seulement à l’Acheteur d’origine
(Acheteur) que nos produits (Produits) sont exempts
de défauts de matériau et de fabrication. Pour les
lanternes, notre garantie est de trois ans. Dans le cas
où l’Acheteur découvrirait un vice caché, l’Acheteur
devra renvoyer le Produit à l’adresse d’achat. Si
cela n’est pas possible, renvoyez-nous le Produit à
l’adresse indiquée. Ce Produit sera réparé ou échangé
gratuitement. L’étendue de notre responsabilité se
limite à la présente Garantie et prend fin au terme
de la période de garantie applicable. Nous nous
réservons le droit d’exiger une preuve d’achat pour
toutes les demandes d’application de la Garantie.
Exclusions de garantie :
Sont exclus de cette Garantie l’usure normale
du Produit (rayure et abrasion des carres, usure
des semelles, etc.), les modifications ou les
transformations non autorisées, l’utilisation
incorrecte, l’entretien inadéquat, les accidents,
l’emploi abusif, la négligence, les dommages, ou
l’utilisation du Produit à des fins pour lesquelles il
n’a pas été conçu. La présente Garantie vous confère
des droits spécifiques et ne fait pas obstacle à
l’application de la garantie légale prévue par le
Code Civil. À l’exception des clauses expressément
décrites dans la présente Garantie, nous déclinons

MOJI-LATERNE
Batterielebensdauer: Die Batterielebensdauer hängt

BATTERIEN (Abbildungen 1, 2, 3 und 4)
Die Moji benötigt drei AAA-Batterien. Es können
Alkali-, Lithium- oder wiederaufladbare Batterien
verwendet werden.
Mischen Sie nicht alte und neue Batterien oder
unterschiedliche Batterietypen.
Entsorgen Sie die verbrauchten Batterien nicht mit
dem Restmüll.
Entfernen Sie die Batterien während der Lagerung
und des Transports.
BETRIEB
Legen Sie die Batterien wie dargestellt ein
(Abbildungen 1, 2, 3 und 4).
Ein/Aus: Einfacher Klick (Abbildung 5).
Helligkeitseinstellung: Halten Sie die Taste im
eingeschalteten Zustand gedrückt. Die Moji-
Laterne wird gedimmt. Lassen Sie den Schalter
los, wenn die gewünschte Helligkeit erreicht ist
(Abbildungen 6 und 7).
Die Moji-Laterne speichert die zuletzt ausgewählte
Helligkeitsstufe für eine Dauer von 12 Stunden.
EINSATZBEDINGUNGEN
Die Moji ist wasserdicht gemäss IPX 4. Dies gilt
nicht für salzhaltiges Wasser oder stark alkalische
Flüssigkeiten. Anleitungen zum Trocknen Ihrer Laterne
finden Sie unter PFLEGE UND REINIGUNG.
Setzen Sie die Laterne keinen Temperaturen über 60
°C aus.
Batterieleistung und Batterielebensdauer werden
durch kalte Temperaturen herabgesetzt.
PFLEGE UND REINIGUNG
Stellen Sie vor der Aufbewahrung sicher, dass die
Laterne sauber und trocken ist. BEWAHREN SIE
EINE LATERNE NICHT IM FEUCHTEN ZUSTAND
AUF. Entfernen Sie die Batterien und lassen Sie das
Gehäuse vollständig an der Luft trocknen.
Erwärmen Sie die Laterne zum Trocknen nicht
künstlich.
Wenn Ihre Laterne mit Salzwasser in Kontakt
gekommen ist, waschen Sie sie mit frischem Wasser
ab. Setzen Sie die Laterne erst in trockenem Zustand
wieder zusammen, um Korrosion zu verhindern.
Verwenden Sie eine milde Seife und sauberes
Wasser, um die Laterne zu säubern.
Waschen Sie die Laterne keinesfalls in einer
Waschmaschine, einem Geschirrspüler oder mit
einem Hochdruckreiniger.
Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen keine Scheuermittel.
Im Falle von korrodierten Kontakten reinigen Sie
diese mit einem feinkörnigen Schmirgelpapier.
FEHLERBEHEBUNG
Wenn die Laterne nicht funktioniert:
Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Batterien richtig
eingelegt sind und die Kontakte berühren.
Tauschen Sie die Batterien aus.
Überprüfen Sie die Kontakte auf Korrosion und
säubern Sie sie gegebenenfalls.
Betätigen Sie mehrmals den Schalter.

WARNHINWEISE
Eine berechtigte volljährige Person muss die
Verwendung des Produkts durch Kinder unter 12

richtig funktioniert, und tragen Sie für Notfälle
immer eine Ersatzlampe und ausreichend
Ersatzbatterien mit sich.
BEGRENZTE GEWÄHRLEISTUNG
Wir gewährleisten dem ursprünglichen Käufer, der
das Produkt aus dem Einzelhandel erworben hat
(Käufer) für ein Jahr ab Kaufdatum, dass unsere
Produkte (Produkte) frei von Defekten an Material
und Ausführungsqualität sind. Die Garantie für unsere
Laternen beträgt drei Jahre ab Kaufdatum. Entdeckt
der Käufer einen Defekt, sollte der Käufer das Produkt
unverzüglich an das Geschäft, in dem es erworben
wurde, zurückgeben und keinesfalls weiterverwenden.
Sollte dies nicht möglich sein, sollte der Käufer das
Produkt unverzüglich an unsere Retourenabteilung
schicken. Das Produkt wird nach unserem Ermessen
entweder repariert oder ersetzt. Dies ist der gemäss
dieser Garantie gültige Haftungsumfang. Nach Ablauf
der gültigen Garantiefrist wird jegliche Haftung
