Oiling...

I own an MS170 that is less than a year old that is not oiling properly. It uses only a fifth of a tank of bar oil to a tank of gas and is overheating the bar. Help!

3 silly as it sounds, have you put the bar on up side down? there is a small hole in the top of the bar which the oil runs through. it may be blocked

2 Do you keep your saw well maintained? it may just be that the outlet hole is blocked or the bar rails are full of junk, a good clean up may sort it out? Andy

1 with a very small air nossle blow out the oiling chamber. this should do the trick
