How to start

I bought this self-propelled mulching mower yesterday and the seller started it and help load it on the truck, however, I did not receive the owner's manual and didn't really pay attention when it was started. When I got home with it, I realized that I did not know how to start the mower. It is a 8.5 hp walk behind self-propelled mulching mower with an electric start. On the left-had side are 2 levers and on the right-hand side is the blade engagment. The mower has 4 gears, plus nuetral and reverse. Could someone please tell me the steps to take to start this mover. I tried all possibilites that I could think of...so I know I must be missing something....because the person I bought from, started it right up and walked the mower onto the trailer I was hauling on.
